CBA leaves discount rate unchanged

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has passed a decision to keep the discount rate unchanged at 7.25%, CBA Chairman Elman Rustamov said at the press conference.
According to him, the upper limit of the interest corridor was reduced from 9% to 8% lower limit was kept at 6.75%. The decision enters into force from today.
The CBA will consider the interests on June 19.
E. Rustamov: “The decision was made because of coronavirus pandemic and economic waving.”
