Azerbaijani sailors rescued from vessel fire in Mediterranean

A fire broke out onboard BELLATRIX vessel drifting in the Mediterranean last night.

A rescue operation was carried out with the participation of Georgian sailors, according to Report’s local bureau.

All 12 crew members were evacuated to nearby ARIFE cargo ship sailing under the flag of Panama.

According to the vessel’s captain, Russian, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Indian citizens are among the rescued sailors. The evacuees will be taken to an Italian port.
