During the 30 years of occupation, illegal Armenian formations in the Karabakh region cultivated plants containing narcotic drugs in large quantities, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry’s spokesperson Elshad Hajiyev said, Report informs.
He was commenting on the drug plantations found in Khojaly.
Hajiyev noted that more than 100 hectares of drug plantations were discovered in the territories taken under control after local anti-terrorist measures, including in the Khojaly district.
“Research of the area carried out by experts gives grounds to say that plants containing narcotic drugs were massively cultivated in these areas,” he said.
