WUF13 Youth AI Competition attracted over 285 applications from 30 countries

The international youth competition, organized as part of WUF13 and dedicated to the theme "Artificial Intelligence in the Future of Sustainable Cities," attracted over 285 applications from participants from more than 30 countries, Momeena Mehdi, Project Manager of the Eurasian Regional Center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF ERC) and Coordinator of the OIC Student Association, said at the panel session "Peace-Positive Climate Action through Urban Solutions in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Settings" at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

"The key objective of the competition was to attract innovative youth developments using artificial intelligence technologies in the areas of sustainable urban development, climate adaptation, and digital transformation. This initiative contributes to the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals 9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure), 11 (sustainable cities and communities), 13 (climate action), and 17 (partnerships). Applications for participation in the competition were submitted by representatives of more than 75 cities worldwide," she noted.
