SpaceX conducts 13th test flight of Starship

The US company SpaceX has carried out the 13th test flight of its Starship spacecraft prototype together with the launch vehicle, Report informs.

The launch was streamed live on the X social network. The rocket lifted off from the Starbase spaceport in Texas at 18:51 Eastern Time (02:51 Baku time – GMT+4 on July 25). About an hour later, the vehicle splashed down in the Indian Ocean.

During the mission, the company deployed 20 Starlink satellites of the V3 version from the spacecraft's payload bay, six of which were designed to monitor the condition of Starship's heat shield.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk noted earlier that the launch had originally been scheduled for July 16, but was automatically aborted when several engines failed to ignite. The company intended to retry on July 23, but postponed the attempt by one day due to unfavorable weather conditions.
