The Pakistani company DevCrew, which exports IT products to the USA, Europe, and Singapore, is exploring Azerbaijan's market, Hassan Rafique, one of the co-founders of the company, told Report.
According to him, the company's representatives participated in the Technology Forum held in Azerbaijan on September 29 and had a number of bilateral meetings within its framework:
"I believe that Azerbaijani companies prefer to work with local companies. Therefore, we want to enter the Azerbaijani market. We are investigating the IT market of Azerbaijan, considering the possibilities of how we can cooperate. We see great potential in the Azerbaijani market, so we hope to establish a successful cooperation. According to us, the local IT market is not so suitable for the country's future plans and goals."
He explained what steps should be taken to develop Azerbaijan's IT market as much as Pakistan's: "So, the main point is to have national resources in the field of IT. Pakistan can provide support in the direction of training and improvement of IT specialists in Azerbaijan. Another point is related to technical skills - IT professionals do not know English. If the government of Azerbaijan improves IT specialists, and if they learn English well, local specialists can meet the country's demand and export IT products."
Rafique said that the annual revenue of the company is worth $1.5 million: "We have many customers in the mentioned countries. A branch of the company operates in Singapore. We are a team of experienced and educated professionals with a high level of experience in the field of IT across various technologies, ready to take ideas to a whole new level."
