Minister: Supercomputer to become one of foundations of Azerbaijan's innovation ecosystem

A new supercomputer (with a computing power of 1.2 PFLOPS) will become one of the foundations of Azerbaijan's innovation ecosystem, Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, said at the INMerge Innovation Summit in Baku, organized by PASHA Holding LLC, according to Report.

"This enormous computing power will allow for the rapid processing of large-scale operations and the execution of complex analyses, creating new opportunities for the digitalization of the economy, automation, and intelligent production systems," he noted.

Jabbarov emphasized that the supercomputer's capabilities will be available not only to government agencies but also to the private sector, academic institutions, and civil society: "Democratizing access to high-performance computing resources will expand knowledge sharing, improve forecasting, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making. This step will significantly advance our innovation-driven development strategy and elevate Azerbaijan"s competitiveness to a new level on the global stage."
