ChatGPT holds 83.61% of Azerbaijan's AI chatbot market in August

ChatGPT held an 83.61% share of Azerbaijan's artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot market across computers, mobile devices and tablets in August.

Report informs, citing the latest Statcounter data, that ChatGPT's share fell by 3.78 percentage points from July and by 10.97 percentage points, or 11.6%, compared with August 2025.

Google Gemini ranked second with 11.45%, gaining 2.91 percentage points month-on-month and 10.4 percentage points year-on-year.

Claude followed with 2.99%, up 1.89 percentage points from July and 2.74 percentage points from a year earlier.

Perplexity ranked fourth with 1.47%, down 0.97 percentage points month-on-month but up 0.24 percentage points year-on-year.

Microsoft Copilot rounded out the top five with 0.48%, down 0.05 percentage points from July and 2.35 percentage points from August 2025.

By platform, the leading AI chatbots were as follows:

Computers:

ChatGPT – 82.55% (down 6.14 percentage points month-on-month and 11.44 percentage points year-on-year);

Google Gemini – 12.07% (up 5.04 percentage points month-on-month and 10.97 percentage points year-on-year);

Claude – 3.35% (up 2.10 percentage points month-on-month and 3.06 percentage points year-on-year);

Perplexity – 1.49% (down 0.97 percentage points month-on-month and up 0.17 percentage points year-on-year);

Microsoft Copilot – 0.53% (down 0.04 percentage points month-on-month and 2.69 percentage points year-on-year).

Mobile devices:

ChatGPT – 92.41% (up 14.31 percentage points month-on-month and down 5.28 percentage points year-on-year);

Google Gemini – 6.25% (down 13.06 percentage points month-on-month and up 5.48 percentage points year-on-year);

Perplexity – 1.34% (down 0.97 percentage points month-on-month and up 0.57 percentage points year-on-year).

Tablets:

ChatGPT – 100% (up 50 percentage points both month-on-month and year-on-year).
