Azercosmos boosts satellite service exports by 54.1% in H1

Azerbaijan's Space Agency (Azercosmos) exported $13.1 million worth of satellite telecommunications services in the first half of 2026, according to the July edition of the Export Review published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

The figure represents a 54.1% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

During the January-June period, around 90 companies from 33 countries imported Azercosmos' satellite telecommunications services. Compared with the previous year, the number of destination countries declined by eight.

The agency's largest export markets were the United Kingdom ($2.2 million), Luxembourg ($1.6 million), Türkiye ($605,400), Pakistan ($603,400) and Egypt ($327,900).

The report also noted that export revenues accounted for 63% of Azercosmos' total income during the reporting period, down from 65% a year earlier.

In June alone, Azercosmos exported $2.3 million worth of satellite telecommunications services, marking a 53.3% year-on-year increase.
