Azerbaijani government agencies see 38% drop in cyberattacks in May

From January to May of this year, 419 indicators of cyberattacks were detected against government agencies in Azerbaijan, a 7.5% decrease compared to the same period last year, Report informs.
According to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan, 290 cyberthreats were identified and blocked during internal investigations, and 132 were detected based on incidents reported by government agencies.
In May, 51 cyberattacks were recorded, a 38% decrease compared to May of last year.
In 2025, as many as 850 cyberattacks against government agencies were recorded, of which 372 were detected and blocked during internal investigations, and 478 were detected based on incidents reported by government agencies.
