Azerbaijan, Türkiye aim to unite forces in artificial intelligence

Azerbaijan and Türkiye plan to join forces in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) with the goal of ranking among the world's top 20 countries, Zafer Kucuksabanoglu, Chairman of Türkiye's Artificial Intelligence Policy Association (AIPA), told journalists, Report informs.

He noted that the two countries have signed a historic protocol to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence. Under this agreement, they aim to combine their knowledge, networks, and capabilities to maximize the economic benefits created by AI: "Our goal is to increase both Türkiye's and Azerbaijan's share in the $15.7 trillion global economic volume projected to be generated by AI until 2030."

The official emphasized that AI is a transformative technology not only for Türkiye and Azerbaijan, but for the entire world: "It is reshaping life in areas such as climate change, foreign policy, sports, economy, energy, and education. That's why international cooperation is essential."

Kucuksabanoglu also highlighted that the protocol includes ethical considerations and data privacy safeguards: "Our collaboration is not limited to economic opportunities-it also encompasses ethical and privacy issues aimed at protecting citizens' rights and national security."
