Azerbaijan, TikTok mull amendments to legislation on children's access to social networks

Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Hasanov, has discussed proposed legislative amendments concerning children's access to social media platforms with representatives of TikTok.

According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, cited by Report, the parties exchanged views on improving digital literacy, implementing joint educational projects, and supporting local digital startups.

The meeting also focused on opportunities for cooperation in the field of digital development, including TikTok's potential participation in the framework of the "Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development in Azerbaijan for 2026–2028."

The participants emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation aimed at creating a safer digital environment and supporting the country's innovation ecosystem.
