Azerbaijan records 518 cyberattack indicators in seven months

A total of 518 indicators of compromise (IOCs) related to cyberattacks against Azerbaijan's government institutions were identified in January-July this year, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security said.

According to Report's calculations based on the data, the figure is 9.6% lower than in the same period of 2025.

Of the identified cyber threats, 337 were detected and blocked as a result of internal investigations, while 190 were identified through investigations of incidents reported by government institutions.

In July alone, 61 cyberattacks were detected, marking an 11.6% decrease compared with the same month last year.

A total of 850 cyberattacks targeting government institutions were recorded in 2025. Of these, 372 were detected and blocked through internal investigations, while 478 were identified based on investigations into incidents reported by government institutions.
