Azerbaijan preparing new legislative package for digital transformation

A new legislative package aimed at accelerating digital transformation is being prepared in Azerbaijan, Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA), said at the 10th International Finance and Banking Summit in Baku.

According to Report, he said the expansion of digitalization and the introduction of new technologies require a flexible legal framework that supports innovation.

"Currently, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, together with relevant agencies, partner organizations, and other state institutions, is working on the preparation of the relevant legislative package," Osmanov said.

He added that the new legal mechanisms will help create a favorable environment for accelerating digital development in the country, introducing innovations, expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies, and developing digital services.
