"In Azerbaijan, we see a very strong commitment from the national authorities to support immunization," Oleg Benes, a WHO Europe vaccine specialist, told Report.
Benes noted that at this stage, more than 20% of Azerbaijan’s population has already been vaccinated, which is a significant achievement for the country.
“We saw the efforts of the government to bring various products and to offer citizens a choice to be vaccinated,” the specialist added.
He also recommended expanding the coverage of vaccination process to include more people from the elderly groups.
