This year's flu vaccination could reduce the burden on hospitals, said Bruce Aylward, Senior Adviser to the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).
"When asked how hospitals in many countries have increased the number of beds, they said they have mostly used resources to combat the flu. Therefore, it is necessary to intensify vaccination against influenza to combat COVID-19," noted Aylward.
