WHO: Azerbaijan should ban free sale of antibiotics in pharmacies

"The free sale of antibiotics in pharmacies must be prevented in Azerbaijan," the World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Azerbaijan, Hande Harmanci, said at a virtual press conference dedicated to the World Antimicrobial Drug Awareness Week.
She said that instead of discouraging people from using antibiotics, free sales in drugstores should be restricted: "For this, the authorities must do certain work and enlighten people."
