No Omicron strain case detected in Azerbaijan

No Omicron strain of coronavirus infection has been detected in Azerbaijan, the National Center for Hematology and Transfusion told Report.
The center noted that tests for all mutations and related strains are ongoing:
"All samples from people entering Azerbaijan from abroad, as well as those suspected of having a cluster-type infection in the country, are collected and analyzed. No new variant has been identified in the relevant inspections. If it is discovered, the public will be informed."
So far, the Omicron strain has been observed in about 100 countries worldwide. In addition, new strain infections have been reported in Azerbaijan's neighbors Turkey, Georgia, Iran, and Russia.
