Azerbaijan, UNOPS discuss expanding healthcare cooperation

Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev has met Simonetta Siligato, Director and Head of Mission of the Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO) of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

According to Report, citing the Health Ministry, the meeting focused on the current state of long-term cooperation between the ministry and UNOPS, results achieved so far, future joint projects and new areas of cooperation.

Musayev noted that Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to cooperation with international partners in the healthcare sector.

The minister stressed the importance of effectively using international experience in developing the healthcare system, introducing modern medical technologies and solutions, improving infrastructure and further raising the quality of medical services.

The sides also exchanged views on further developing existing areas of cooperation between UNOPS and Azerbaijan, implementing new healthcare projects and other issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was also attended by UNOPS Partnership Adviser Konstantin Yegorov and UNOPS Partnership Coordinator for Azerbaijan Dinara Guliyeva.
