Yusif Abdullayev: OTS countries, including Azerbaijan, should make greater use of multilateral platforms

The countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), including Azerbaijan, should make greater use of existing multilateral platforms to attract investment and implement joint projects, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), said.

According to Report, speaking at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) Abdullayev noted that despite competition among countries for investment, investment promotion agencies should use this competition to encourage joint projects.

"In some cases, we are competitors. But I think we should compete in a way that encourages us to implement projects together and make use of our bilateral and multilateral platforms," Abdullayev said.

He stressed the importance of the OTS in this context, emphasizing the need to make more active use of its opportunities.

Abdullayev added that relations among the organization"s member states in investment promotion and trade development are at a high level, while the goals set by the countries" leaders envisage further increases in trade and investment volumes.
