Young people in India, Senegal, and Colombia are actively using digital tools to participate in urban planning and the development of public spaces, said a representative of India at the "Youth Leadership for Safe and Resilient Cities" event held as part of WUF13, Report informs.

She stated that youth initiatives in these countries are being implemented in three main areas: developing governance mechanisms, youth participation using digital technologies, and implementing local-level urban programs.

"The first stage of the project is collecting data on urban public spaces using digital platforms," the representative of India noted.

She stated that hundreds of public spaces are being assessed as part of the initiatives, and young people are actively participating in analyzing the urban environment and documenting the state of urban areas.
