Vučić: Serbia considers Azerbaijan a truly friendly country

Serbia considers Azerbaijan a truly friendly country, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said during a business meeting with entrepreneurs as part of his visit to Azerbaijan.

According to Report, he spoke about the development of political and economic ties between the two countries and noted that productive talks were held earlier today with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, including discussions on new areas of future cooperation.

Vučić noted that the launch of a direct flight between Baku and Belgrade is also contributing to the development of bilateral ties. According to him, expanding cooperation in the tourism sector is of particular importance. He stressed the need to increase contacts between tourism companies of Azerbaijan and Serbia.

Vučić also called on Azerbaijani business representatives to explore new investment opportunities in Serbia. He said opportunities for cooperation exist particularly in the fields of retail trade, spa and mountain resorts, as well as agricultural products.
