Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry: Tashkent, Baku planning busy agenda for 2026 - EXCLUSIVE

The bilateral relations agenda between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan for 2026 will be filled with events at all levels, Akhror Burkhanov, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, told Report at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum in Baku.

He noted that cooperation between the two countries is developing at an unprecedented pace and encompasses all areas: "There is no sector where we have not seen tangible progress. Azerbaijan is our ally, and this is the highest level of relations between the two countries. We are very pleased with such positive dynamics with our brotherly country."

According to him, high-level meetings and negotiations have also taken place this year, and the exchange of delegations has intensified, which is providing a tangible impetus to trade and economic growth. He also emphasized that the media forum, which is the result of agreements reached by the presidents of the two countries, is of particular importance.

"Developing allied and friendly relations with brotherly Azerbaijan is one of Uzbekistan's top priorities. These ties are based on deep historical roots, shared cultural traditions, religion, and language," he noted.

He emphasized that the schedule of events for next year will be packed: events are planned at the level of foreign ministers, various ministries, and other agencies of the two countries.
