US Department of State: Relations with Azerbaijan among Washington's priorities

Relations between the United States and Azerbaijan are among the key priorities for Washington, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs Caleb Orr said during a press conference held as part of the first Azerbaijan–US Economic Dialogue in Baku, according to Report.

Orr noted that relations between the United States and Azerbaijan are one of the key priorities for the United States and the Trump administration, as the United States seeks to open a new era of peace in the South Caucasus region.

He expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, and the entire Azerbaijani delegation for warm reception.

Orr said that bilateral relations were actively developing and that this was only the beginning.

He noted that during his visit he had spoken with representatives of US companies already investing in Azerbaijan and had heard about opportunities for further business expansion in the country in the future.
