UNFCCC Fourth Climate Week concludes in Baku

The Fourth Climate Week of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has concluded in Baku.

According to Report, the event, held from September 7 to 11, featured roundtables, panel discussions and conferences on key issues including the energy transition, climate finance, industrial decarbonization, sustainable development and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

Representatives from various countries, international organizations, experts and private-sector participants exchanged views on the main areas of the climate agenda, existing challenges and possible solutions.

Over the five days of discussions, key topics also included maintaining continuity and institutional links between COP29, COP30 and COP31, accelerating implementation of decisions adopted at previous climate conferences, expanding regional cooperation and improving access to climate finance for developing countries.

Particular attention was also paid to strengthening cooperation among countries in the upcoming COP process and translating climate commitments into practical results.
