UNDP: ‘Mine clearance is one of the priorities for Azerbaijan’

“Mine clearance is one of the priority issues for Azerbaijan. The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is working with ANAMA in this direction along with partners,” Charu Bist, the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, told Report.

“We have been able to raise funds together with partners to work with ANAMA,” she said.

According to her, in general, UNDP and Azerbaijan are planning to implement several projects which will be implemented within the framework of cooperation with SMBDA, ABAD, and others by the end of this year.

Bista emphasized that UNDP and Azerbaijan cooperate on projects in the fields of inclusion, environment, digital technologies, innovations, and other areas, focusing on achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
