Ukrainian MP: Turnout at elections in Azerbaijan was high

A special feature of the early presidential elections in Azerbaijan on February 7 was that for the first time the voting took place throughout the entire country, including the liberated territories.

This explains the high voter turnout at the polling stations, head of the observation mission from the Ukrainian parliament, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, co-chairman of the interparliamentary friendship group with Azerbaijan Valery Koliukh told a press conference.

"By taking part in the presidential elections, every citizen of Azerbaijan became involved in the victory of the Azerbaijani people and the restoration of the territorial integrity of your state. I want to note that holding elections in the de-occupied part of the country is a unique experience for us, for the Ukrainian authorities," Koliukh said.
