UK minister of state happy with talks in Baku

UK Minister of State for Investment Jason Stockwood has praised the meetings and negotiations held in Azerbaijan, the British Embassy in Baku told Report.

During the visit, Lord Stockwood held meetings with key partners across the private and public sector, including the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, the Baku Stock Exchange, the Minister of Economy.

Discussions focused on unlocking new opportunities to deepen investment and financial cooperation between the two countries.

"The UK and Azerbaijan share a close and long-standing relationship, and I'm delighted to be in Baku for the first time, meeting key investors and government officials. Not only is the UK the largest investor in the country, but trade ties are expanding even further.

"Under our Strategic Partnership we will boost bilateral trade and investment in sectors like clean energy, financial services and infrastructure - helping to create new jobs and opportunities in both countries," he added.
