Türkiye and Azerbaijan plan to sign two action plans in 2026 for the next three years aimed at strengthening the family institution.
Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas told Report's Turkish bureau.
"We plan to sign two separate action plans in 2026, covering the next three years. Work on drafting the new action plans is continuing in line with mutual consultations and assessments aimed at further developing existing cooperation," Goktas said.
The minister noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev view the strengthening of the family institution as a strategic issue for the future of society.
"We share a common vision with Azerbaijan on protecting and strengthening the family institution," she added.
According to Goktas, the first meeting of social policy ministers has already been held within the Organization of Turkic States, and the next goal is to develop joint policies against demographic risks and exchange experience.
"We will continue to strengthen cooperation to expand family-oriented policies in the face of global challenges, demographic transformations and social changes affecting the family structure," Goktas said.
