The interaction between Türkiye and Azerbaijan will become even stronger thanks to the "bridge" built from COP29 to COP31, Report informs, based on statements by COP31 CEO and Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye Fatma Varank at the event dedicated to energy transition, climate finance and industrial decarbonization within the 4th Baku Climate Action Week.
According to her, as part of the current work, participants are testing new approaches, building partnerships, and identifying investment-attractive solutions that can be implemented in Antalya.
"The results and conclusions formulated throughout this week will be directly integrated into the COP31 Action Agenda," she stated.
Varank emphasized that one of the main tasks of COP31 is to turn specific climate goals into real results, projects, and investments.
She also noted that within COP31, thematic areas will be discussed in Antalya at the ministerial level, as well as during dialogues with representatives of business and relevant organizations.
In addition, one of the days of COP31 will be dedicated to the concept of "Imece," which in Turkish culture represents the tradition of collective labor and mutual support. "It is precisely by relying on this tradition of mutual assistance and joint efforts that we intend to bring the spirit of cooperation and collective action to Antalya," she noted.
Varank invited the event participants to take part in COP31, which will be held in Antalya in November, emphasizing that during this period the city will become a center of climate diplomacy.
