Turkish traveler: Situation in liberated areas - shame for humanity and peace

The situation in the liberated areas is a shame for humanity and peace, Fatma Karagozlu, a member of the Turkish Travelers' Club Association, told Report.

According to her, the travelers' visit to Karabakh and East Zangazur will have a special place in their memories:

"We have talked a lot about the history of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands. But now, along with that history, we will talk about the return of life to, the revival of these lands. Because the real owners of the territories have returned, and they will do everything they can to revive life here."

"As far as we can see today, no influential international organization has provided any assistance to Azerbaijan either in infrastructure reconstruction or demining processes in the liberated areas. In such a case, why don't the international organizations talk about the one million Azerbaijanis whose rights were violated for nearly 30 years?! Why is there no discussion about the fate of families who cannot return to their homeland due to the danger of landmines?! In my opinion, this discrimination should be stopped as soon as possible, and practical steps should be taken to find a way out of this shameful situation for humanity and peace," Karagozlu said.

The trip is of great importance in promoting the liberated areas within the framework of "black tourism". Over the past year, Karabakh and East Zangazur have been visited by international travelers, uniting the world business and tourist elite. Four group trips were organized to Karabakh and East Zangazur at the level of founders, presidents, and prominent members of international travel networks - ETIC (Extreme Traveler International Congress), MTP (Most Traveled People), TCC (Travelers' Century Club), Nomadmania.

As a result of these visits, which are currently the fifth in number, about 200 international travelers from about 30 countries got to know the atrocities, destruction, and large-scale restoration and construction work in the liberated areas. This is of special importance from the point of view of showing the brutality Azerbaijan has suffered over the years to the world community through the eyes of international travelers.

This time, the delegation is headed by the president of the Turkish Travelers' Club Association, Salman Arinc, who is considered one of the 50 main international travelers in the world according to the global rating of Nomadmania.
