With the launch of TAP, Azerbaijani gas has reached Italy, Report mentions, citing the Turkish Foreign Ministry's Twitter page.
"The Southern Gas Corridor has been put into operation. A new page has been opened in our country's contribution to ensuring the security of energy supply to the rest of Europe," the post said.
The TAP Southern Gas Corridor's European branch is a junction project that will supply 10 billion cubic meters of new gas from Azerbaijan to European markets. The pipeline operates under international standards for quality, health, safety, and environmental protection. The capacity of the channel allows doubling its total to 20 billion cubic meters per year.
