Tofig Musayev meets DR Congo's permanent representative to UN

Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Tofig Musayev, met with his Congolese counterpart Zenon Mukongo Ngay, the Permanent Mission of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Nations (UN) said on X, Report informs.
During the meeting, discussions were held around the issue of Azerbaijan's candidacy for the chairmanship of the UN Human Rights Committee, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, and the Committee on the Rights of the Child. Musayev requested Congo's support for Azerbaijan's candidacy for the chairmanship of the said committees.
The elections to those committees are planned to be held in June 2026.
