Sybiha, Bayramov discuss South Caucasus security and Ukraine peace efforts

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed regional security in the South Caucasus and the Middle East, as well as efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine during talks in Kyiv on Thursday.

According to Report's Eastern Europe bureau, Sybiha made the remarks at a joint press conference with Bayramov.

He said the Ukrainian side had briefed Azerbaijan on Kyiv's peace initiatives and emphasized Baku's important role in advancing peace and promoting regional stability.

Sybiha also thanked Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev, and the Azerbaijani people for the assistance provided to Ukraine since the early days of the Russia-Ukraine war.

He noted that Azerbaijan's support had included the restoration of civilian infrastructure in Irpin, humanitarian aid, equipment for energy facilities, and other forms of assistance, adding that Ukraine would always remember this support.
