"Azerbaijan is a model not only of interethnic and interfaith tolerance but also of mutual respect between the Muslim majority and the Christian community, as well as the Jewish community."
According to Report, US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, Elan Carr told during a teleconference.
"Earlier, when the Jewish community was building a synagogue, it had difficulties financing the construction. The Muslim Imam, the Muslim community leader, personally intervened and provided additional funding for the synagogue renovation. And these kinds of stories need to be told. I said earlier that there is a lot of good news in this world, including in the Middle East, the Muslim world, and Europe.'
