Several docs to be signed following CIS Heads of State Council meeting in Bishkek

The meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, will traditionally be held in a narrow and expanded format. The leaders of the CIS countries will adopt a series of joint statements, Report informs.

At the summit on October 13, it is planned to sign the Agreement on the Establishment of the International Organization for the Russian Language in the CIS, the Agreement on the Formation of the International Center for the Assessment of the Risks of Legalization (Laundering) of Proceeds from Crime and the Financing of Terrorism and the Agreement on the Formation of the Coordination Council of the CIS Member States in Forensic Activities.

It is planned to sign the Interstate Program of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2024-2028 and to establish a medal in the Commonwealth “For Contribution to Strengthening Peace.”

It is also expected that the heads of the CIS states will decide to declare Samarkand (Uzbekistan) the cultural capital of the Commonwealth in 2024.
