Secretary General: Forum of think tanks in Baku to contribute to development of CICA

Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for organizing the Think Tank Forum in Baku, Report informs.  

Kairat Sarybay was speaking on September 10 at the closing of the 13th session of the CICA Think Tank Forum.  

"Holding the forum in Baku expanded the geographical presence of the organization and brought new regional perspectives to the discussions," he said.  

The CICA Secretary General emphasized that the forum provided the participants with the opportunity to personally get acquainted with the culture and hospitality of Azerbaijan, and also noted the importance of this initiative as a valuable precedent for organizing future meetings in member countries.  

Sarybay added that Azerbaijan's initiative also strengthens regional cooperation and makes a significant contribution to the further development of CICA as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
