According to the latest resolution adopted by the French Senate, France has been shackled by momentary conjunctural interests, Dmitry Savelyev, Member of State Duma of the Russian Federation, head of Russia-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, told Report.
"We know and see how big the Armenian diaspora operates in France, which leads to highly politicized and opportunistic approaches. You don't have to fall prey to immediate commitments that lead to a resolution. Such behavior is regrettable," Savelyev said.
The deputy emphasized that France has economic, including energy interests in Azerbaijan: "This means that long-term relations should not fall prey to the conjuncture."
