Attempts by Paris to undermine Moscow's relations with Baku and Yerevan are doomed to failure and will only lead to further decline of France's influence in the region, Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Maria Zakharova said, Report informs.
According to Zakharova, French President Emmanuel Macron's statements regarding Moscow's alleged attempts to destabilize the South Caucasus are inadmissible and absolutely unacceptable.
"The absurd fabrications of the French President demonstrate that Paris is not interested in the establishment of lasting peace in the region and cast doubt on his country's ability to play a constructive role," she said.
