Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev has expressed his desire to visit Azerbaijan again, describing it as one of the countries he would most like to travel to.
Speaking to Report's Balkan bureau in Tivat, Radev said he would make every effort to visit Azerbaijan in the future.
"I will do everything possible to visit your country. Azerbaijan is one of the places I would most like to travel to. You have a wonderful country, many friends, and numerous Bulgarians working there, contributing to the economy and the development of sports. I would like to come again. It is a friendly country for us," he said.
Radev also stressed Bulgaria's commitment to strengthening relations with Azerbaijan.
"We are very pleased with the deepening of our relations with Azerbaijan. I can assure you that the decisions taken at today's meeting will also contribute to the development of relations with Azerbaijan. Bulgaria is an active supporter of further advancing relations between the European Union and Azerbaijan," he noted.
Commenting on energy cooperation, Radev said Bulgaria highly values the stable annual supplies of Azerbaijani natural gas.
"This agreement is working very well for both sides. We also look forward to the implementation of the Green Energy Corridor from Azerbaijan through Georgia, Türkiye and Bulgaria. We are actively working on this project," he said.
The Bulgarian prime minister added that he had held substantive discussions on the initiative with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
"I also had meaningful discussions with President Ilham Aliyev, a good friend of Bulgaria. I hope that together we will see this project implemented," Radev said.
