Rossbach: WUF13 in Baku became largest forum in history of UN-Habitat

The World Urban Forum in Baku was the largest in UN-Habitat's history, Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), said at a press conference dedicated to the opening of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Report informs.

"WUF13 was the largest forum ever organized by UN-Habitat, bringing together over 41,000 representatives from 182 countries, including heads of state, ministers, mayors, UN representatives, as well as leaders from business, academia, and civil society," she said.

Rossbach noted that UN-Habitat collaborates with governments and partners to improve policies, strengthen institutions, and implement scalable solutions.

"However, despite growing global consensus, the gap between political ambition and implementation remains significant," the executive director emphasized.
