Prosecutor General: Evidence obtained is used in filing lawsuits against Armenia in international courts

The evidence obtained during the investigation of criminal cases is effectively used when Azerbaijan brings claims against Armenia in international courts, Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev told journalists.

According to Report, he recalled that in connection with the crimes committed by Armenia, criminal cases are regularly initiated: "Of course, there are certain difficulties with the extradition of these persons to Azerbaijan and involving them in investigative measures. However, after the Second Karabakh War we have identified and involved in the investigation several people who committed such crimes. We have also succeeded in prosecuting the participants in the Khojaly genocide. The evidence obtained during the investigation of these criminal cases is used by Azerbaijan in filing claims against Armenia in international courts."
