President Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan will always remember Trump's peacekeeping policy

The people of Azerbaijan will forever remember the peacekeeping policy of US President Donald Trump, who brought peace to many regions, including the South Caucasus, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in Washington at a meeting with the leaders of the US and Armenia, Report informs.

"If it were not for President Trump and his team, if it were not for our close friend Mr. Witkoff (Steve Witkoff, US President's special envoy - ed.) and his team, Armenia and Azerbaijan would probably still be stuck in an endless negotiation process," said the Azerbaijani president.

According to Aliyev, for this reason, today is truly a historic day in Washington.

"Today we are establishing peace in the Caucasus, which will open up enormous opportunities not only for our region but also, as President Trump correctly noted, the Trump Route to international peace and prosperity, which will create new lines of communication that will break down walls and create opportunities to connect many countries, ensuring investment, prosperity, and stability," added Ilham Aliyev.
