President Aliyev: Documents signed between Azerbaijan, Iran give powerful impetus to strenthening cooperation

"Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran are based on the will of our peoples, who historically live in conditions of friendship and good neighborliness," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a congratulatory message to his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, as quoted by Report.

"We attach particular importance to our interstate relations built on such solid foundations. I am glad that today our bilateral relations are developing in an ascending line. High-level political dialogue, mutual visits, regular meetings, and signed documents give a powerful impetus to strengthening our cooperation. A prime example is the ever-expanding scope of our cooperation in the economic, trade, energy, transport, and other fields," the letter reads.
