President Aliyev: Azerbaijan wishes for lasting peace across Africa

Azerbaijan wishes for peace to be established on the African continent, stated President Ilham Aliyev during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum themed "The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust," Report informs.

The president noted that there are cases of foreign interference in conflicts in Africa:

"When there is no foreign interference, peace is established more quickly. This also stems from the responsibility of those sensitive actors. Our relations with members of the African Union are expanding. During Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement, humanitarian aid was sent to 80 member countries. A large portion of them were African countries."
