Pawel Radomski praises organization of WUF13 in Baku

Poland has expressed gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) and the warm welcome given to forum participants in Baku, Polish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pawel Radomski said at a ministerial round table within the framework of WUF13, Report informs.

"Poland is grateful to the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting this important conference and for the warm welcome we are receiving here in Baku. We also express our gratitude to UN-HABITAT," he said.

The Polish representative noted that issues of sustainable urban development and improving the quality of life are becoming increasingly important amid urban population growth and socioeconomic challenges.

"The New Urban Agenda represents an excellent benchmark in this regard, and Poland is honored to co-facilitate the political declaration during its review," he emphasized.
