Pan-African Parliament and NAM Parliamentary Network sign memorandum

The Pan-African Parliament and the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM PN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Report informs, citing the Milli Majlis.

The memorandum was signed on September 16 during a meeting between Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and a delegation led by Pan-African Parliament President Fathi Butbig, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

Gafarova said the memorandum would serve as an important step toward further developing cooperation between the two parliamentary platforms.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on developing cooperation between the Pan-African Parliament and Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, as well as between the NAM Parliamentary Network and its partners.

The parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
