Oshakbayev: Kazakhstan interested in Azerbaijan’s logistics, transit, energy projects

Kazakhstan is interested in participating in logistics, transit and energy projects implemented by Azerbaijan, Director of the TALAP Center for Applied Research in Kazakhstan Rakhim Oshakbayev told Report.

According to the expert, Kazakhstan is a country that does not have direct access to the sea: “Taking into account the geopolitical rift that is currently taking place, there is an urgent need for Kazakhstan to diversify export routes.”

Oshakbayev reminded that during the recent visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Kazakhstan, an agreement was reached that Azerbaijan would support Kazakhstan’s attempts to diversify oil exports.

“The volume of oil that Kazakhstan plans to send through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is 1.5 million tons,” he added.

According to the director of the TALAP Center for Applied Research, Azerbaijan has always had a clear vision of foreign policy.

Rakhim Oshakbayev also highly appreciated the international conference on on “Shaping the Geopolitics of the Greater Eurasia: From Past to Present to Future”, the second session of which was held May 3 in Shusha, adding that he was most impressed by the meeting of the participants of the event with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
