Olzhas Bektenov: Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan to sign TITR development agreement in 2026

Kazakhstan plans to sign an intergovernmental agreement with Azerbaijan in 2026 to develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor).

According to Report, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said at the second meeting of heads of government and vice presidents of OTS member states in Baku that trade and the supply of goods critical for the region's food and energy security are facing disruptions amid rising geopolitical tensions.

"In this context, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route is considered one of the most reliable and secure transit corridors. With the growing institutional status of the Middle Corridor, we intend to sign the corresponding intergovernmental agreement with Azerbaijan this year," he said.
