Niger seeks to benefit from Azerbaijan"s energy experience

Niger intends to benefit from Azerbaijan's experience in the efficient use of energy resources.
Report informs that Mamoudou Harouna Djingarey, Chairman of Niger's Advisory Council, said this during a meeting with Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
The meeting included an exchange of views on opportunities for cooperation between the two countries and their parliaments.
During the conversation, the sides noted joint cooperation between the two legislative bodies within international parliamentary organizations. In particular, they emphasized the importance of mutual support within organizations such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova informed the Nigerien official about the activities of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established in 2021 on the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that over the past five years, the Parliamentary Network has made significant progress both in terms of institutional development and growing international influence.
Mamoudou Harouna Djingarey praised Azerbaijan's achievements, saying many countries had been unable to achieve in decades the successes Azerbaijan had secured in recent years.
The Advisory Council chairman said Niger is interested in deepening relations with Azerbaijan and the Milli Majlis. He emphasized that his country would like to benefit from Azerbaijan's experience in many areas, including the efficient use of energy resources.
